Class Web Pilot Testers.

As responses flow in concerning the conclusion of the Class Web
Pilot, it seems that it may be valuable to direct Pilot users to the
Class Web page in the CDS Web catalog. The URL is
HTTP://www.loc.gov/cds/classwebpilot.html.

Any upcoming announcements concerning the release of the production
product will be posted on this page as well as other relevant
information concerning Class Web. Of particular interest to Pilot
users may be the FAQs section and especially numbers 4 and 5.

I have reproduced those FAQS here.

4. Should I renew my subscription to Classification Plus (CD-ROM
product) if I plan to subscribe to Classification Web when it becomes
available?
Yes, renew your subscription to Class Plus and, at any point during
the subscription year, you may switch to Class Web on a pro rated
basis once Class Web is available.

5. How much will a Class Web subscription cost?
CDS expects to set Class Web prices comparable to those of Class
Plus, with various simultaneous user ranges. Depending on where you
fit in the range, some customers may get a slight price break while
others may pay slightly more; but there should be no large financial
surprises. Current Class Plus subscribers will not have to increase
their budgets in any significant way.

CDS expects to continue sending Pilot users emails concerning the
progress of the production product, but the Class Web URL should also
be a valuable source of information in the months to come.

Thank you again for testing Classification Web and for all of your
wonderful comments about the product..
