Several numbers were deliberately dropped in the 1980s or 1990s from the table used to arrange 10-number countries in HX101+.  This was a simplification intended to stop differentiation between "General works" written at a particular time and "History" covering a particular time period.  Books have not been reclassed at LC and some new material has apparently recently and wrongly been added.  Those who retained their 1980 edition of HM-HX can see the full table as it previously existed.

HX276 should not be used.  Only the numbers currently in the table are valid.

Where and what is the class HX276.  I see that it is constructed by using a table, but when I activitate the table, the possibility for the number 276 does not appear.
