Hello!

I would like to ask how to you create CUTTER NUMBER for cities, towns or regions in a particular country especially those that are not included in
Regions and Countries Table - Geographic Tables Based on Cutter Numbers - LC Shelflisting G300 and
U.S. States and Canadian Provinces Table - Geographic Tables Based on Cutter Numbers - LC Shelflsting G302.

EXAMPLE:
What would be the cutter for Las Piñas City (Philippines) for DS 689?

>From Classweb:
DS 689.A-Z    Cities, towns, etc., A-Z
e.g.
DS689.B2    Baguio
DS689.C5    Cebu
DS689.M2    Manila
DS689.M24 Marzo Site
DS689.P3    Paete

Do I use the cutter table for this? Or does LC provide cutter number for cities and regions in the Philippines?
Where to find that link or document? What is the standard rule to follow?
Can you please give other example using a city in the Philippines?

I appreciate all the feedback.
We are currently updating our Cataloging Policy with regards to cuttering and
feedback and comments from other catalogers are valuable to us.

Thank you so much for helping.

Best,
Annie
