[Classweb-users] The difference between DD51 and DD51.5

The correct number for general works is DD51.  The caption for DD51.5 was formerly "General special. Minor works."  Due to an editorial error that was made when the 1990 edition of Class D was being prepared, the caption was inadvertently changed to "General works," resulting in the current duplication between DD51 and DD51.5. We will cancel DD51.5. Thanks for reporting this.

Under History of Germany--Antiquities, General works appears as the 
caption for both DD51 and DD51.5 from a browse search. Which one is the 
real General works? A quick browse in LC's catalog found some 
periodicals, congresses, and society-like publications in DD51, but I 
also found other things which seemed a little confusing. On the other 
hand, DD51.5 seemed like it contained general works only.
