[Classweb-users] LCCN: 2005031961 - Question about Call Number

The call number in the LC bibliographic record is erroneous.  It should be GC228.6.M6C57 2005.  We'll correct it.

Hello,

I am confused about the call number assigned to Circulation in the Gulf
of Mexico: observations and models / Wilton Sturges, Alexis
Lugo-Fernandez, editors - LCCN: 2005031961, OCLC: 62281965. Library of
Congress has assigned: 050 00 $$aGC228.6.M6$$b57 2005, other
institutions have used: GC 228.6 M6 C57 2005 or GC228.6 .M657 2005
instead of the LC assigned call number. I looked in Classweb and I'm
still confused. Can anyone tell me if 050 00 $$aGC228.6.M6$$b57 2005 is
correct and if so what the 57 in subfield |b refers to?
