[Classweb-users] Literary authors not in Class PS

Individual literary authors are added to the classification schedules in certain situations--born before 1875; significant changes in name or form of heading; use of pseudonyms.  Other authors are not routinely added to the schedules.  Specific instructions appear in the Subject Cataloging Manual: Classification, instruction sheet F632.

I think I received an answer to this before.  But are the literature classes
updated, or do they remain the same?  For instance, while the classification
for Alice Walker is in the authority record, she is not listed in PS3573.
