We're investigating a revision of this area of JZ that will address this issue, and will post further information once we have a resolution of the problem.

The following conflicts:

    Russo-Japanese War, 1904-1905 (LCCN sh 85116039 )
    Sino-Japanese Conflict, 1937-1945 (LCCN sh 85122898 )

despite the year ranges correctly appearing in LCSHs and captions in
Classification web records, are placed, in Classification web, under
JZ1395 with hierarchy:

$h International relations $h Scope of international
relations. Political theory. Diplomacy $h By period
    $h Modern $h Subsequent conferences or conflicts (1945- )
    $h Conferences or conflicts, A-Z

It is wondered whether "Russo-Japanese War, 1904-1905" (LCC # JZ1395.R87)
and "Sino-Japanese Conflict, 1937-1945" (LCC # JZ1395.S56) should indeed
be classed under "Subsequent conferences or conflicts (1945- )," together
with post-1945 conflicts, such as "Korean War, 1950-1953" (LCCN sh
85073117 ; LCC # JZ1395.K67).

Thank you very much.
